Service terms
How the service works between us.
Draft
Draft for legal review — not final legal advice.
Plain terms for the companionship and everyday-support service itself.
What's included
Each plan includes a defined number of companion visits per month and a defined number of included support services. The current plans and what they contain are set out on the Plans page.
What counts as a support service
A support service is one discrete piece of practical help arranged or carried out by Gedara — for example an errand run, a pharmacy collection, coordinating an appointment, arranging a household repair visit, or helping with a device or connection problem.
Anything beyond the number included in your plan can usually be arranged as an add-on, confirmed with you first.
From enquiry to service
You send an enquiry. We talk with you, confirm what your parents need and where they live, and explain what we can support. If it's a fit, we agree a plan and a start date, and introduce you to your companion before the first visit.
No online payment is currently taken through this website. Any payment arrangement is confirmed with you directly.
Availability
Service availability depends on your parents' location and companion coverage. Tell us where Mum or Dad lives, and we'll confirm availability before onboarding. Nothing is committed until we've confirmed it with you.
Declining or discontinuing service
Gedara may decline or discontinue service — for example where needs fall outside what a companionship service can responsibly provide, where a safe working environment can't be maintained, or where coverage isn't available. Where we do, we'll say why and give reasonable notice wherever possible.
What we rely on from you
Accurate information about your parents' needs, health considerations, mobility, routines and preferences — including anything that affects safety. We plan around what you tell us, so please keep us updated when things change.
Boundaries and costs
Gedara is not a medical, nursing or emergency service — see Medical and Service Boundaries. Third-party expenses are handled as set out on Third-Party Expenses.
